About Me

I am a clinical psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist based in South Melbourne. I offer individual therapy to adults navigating a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. These may include depression, anxiety and phobias, trauma, personality disorders, loss and grief, emotional overwhelm, challenges in relationships, and enduring feelings of low self-worth or inner emptiness. I have experience across a range of settings including private practice, youth counselling services, crisis support and suicide prevention services, and university clinics.

People often seek therapy when they feel stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves or others. Sometimes the distress is clearly understood; at other times, it may be vague or difficult to articulate, perhaps experienced as a persistent dissatisfaction, inner conflict or patterns that repeat despite one’s best efforts to change. I offer a therapeutic space where such experiences can be explored in depth and at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

My approach is grounded in psychoanalytic psychotherapy which emphasizes the importance of early relationships, unconscious processes and the meaning behind our emotional lives. I am interested in helping individuals understand how past experiences continue to shape present difficulties, often outside of conscious awareness. I view the therapeutic relationship as a central part of the healing process, a space where new ways of relating to oneself and others can emerge over time.

I am committed to working collaboratively, with curiosity, respect and care, to help you make sense of your internal world. I strive to create a safe and reflective space where you can develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your thoughts, feelings and your desires, and where painful or confusing experiences can begin to feel more coherent and less overwhelming.

Over time, therapy can support a stronger sense of internal cohesion, greater emotional freedom and the capacity to live with more authenticity, connection and vitality. My hope is to support individuals not only in gaining relief from their immediate distress but also in fostering a deeper and more enduring transformation, one that allows for a richer engagement with life and with oneself.
